Bradford Jacobs is assisting an enterprise drone technology firm focusing on drone development and a range of software solutions, including payment, plant tracking, hemp business management, supply chain, compliance, and government auditing software as they look to hire a Contracts Administrator.
Role Overview:
As a Contracts Administrator specializing in government and military contracts, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our contractual agreements comply with all regulatory requirements, are effectively managed, and are executed in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve close collaboration with various internal teams, legal departments, and government agencies to support the successful delivery of projects in the defense and public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, manage, and oversee the execution of government and military contracts, including contract formation, negotiation, amendments, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with government procurement regulations, laws, and military contracting standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations).
- Assist in the preparation and submission of government contract proposals, including cost estimates, pricing strategies, and required documentation.
- Review and interpret contract terms, ensuring all parties meet their obligations while mitigating risks to the company.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government representatives, military stakeholders, and other key contract parties.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure that contracts align with financial and operational goals.
- Track and manage contract performance, ensuring timely deliverables and resolving any issues that arise during the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor changes in government contracting policies and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of contracts and related documentation for audit purposes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration, with a strong focus on government and military contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and military contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.).
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, management, and compliance in the government and defense sectors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing contracts and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, external clients, and government representatives.
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex contract-related issues.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass government security clearance.
